Mozambique offers TechnipFMC immense opportunities in oil and gas production, with contracts such as Coral South FLNG showcasing our unique capacity to develop projects integrating subsea and offshore.
Recent giant gas discoveries have shone a new light onto Mozambique, potentially turning it into the world’s third largest gas producer. We have had a presence in this market since 2014 and are committed to its long-term, sustainable development.
Our unique integrated offering and experience in Africa make TechnipFMC a natural partner in Mozambique. We see growth potential across our portfolio of activity.
This includes Subsea Production and Processing Systems (SPS), Subsea Umbilicals Risers and Flowlines (SURF), and Onshore/Offshore.
Mozambique is the location of one of our biggest projects, the Coral South Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit. This is the third FLNG in the world and the largest floating structure in Africa.
Our work on Coral South FLNG covers the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Start-up (EPCIC) as well as risers, umbilicals and subsea flowlines and equipment.
We are already a global leader in FLNG and this is the first time that we have been awarded both the floating platform and subsea in a single contract. Coral South FLNG also paves the way for us to win future integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (iEPCI™) work.
